We did it! On Thursday, June 30, 2022 our grassroots campaign received official notice from the Monterey County Registrar of Voters that the Safe, Affordable, Quality Child Care Act has qualified for the November 8th ballot.

On June 6, 2022, we held a press conference to mark the end of the signature drive effort and to qualify the Safe, Affordable, Quality Child Care Act for the November 2022 ballot. Below are some snapshots from the event.
Our grassroots initiative is spearheaded by local leaders across the political spectrum, as seen in our campaign colors: purple for our multi-partisan effort and green for GO!
Our coalition of parents, educators, small-business owners, community advocates, and people working in the early child care and education, tourism, and agricultural sectors is working to improve the quality and availability of affordable child care and preschool in Monterey County.
